We are trying to improve the ways you can receive your test results. We hope to have some results available for you online/using this website.

Specimens

If you are asked to provide a specimen, please bring it in the sterile leak-proof container provided, to the surgery before 15:30 for dispatch to the laboratory.  Please ensure the container is clearly labelled with your name, date of birth and date and time of sample.

Test Results

If you would like to telephone for your results then please call the main number 01242 602 307, in the afternoon wherever possible as this leaves us able to manage emergencies in the morning.

Your results will take a minimum of 48 hours and up to one week to come back to the surgery and be checked by a doctor – anything requiring urgent attention will be highlighted by the laboratories.

• Blood results will take up to 7 working days to return to the surgery.
• X-ray and Stool Results will take up to 14 days to return to the surgery.
• Nail cuttings and other cultures can take up to 6 weeks.
• Cervical cytology results (smears) will be posted to you.  Please allow at least 4 weeks for these results to be received.

In future you may wish to register for online services to have the ability to Book or Cancel an Appointment, Request a Repeat Prescription, Change Personal Details and View your Medical Records without visiting the practice.
