The Partners would like to update all our patients with statistics from recent appointments that have not been attended at the practice over the last month. We would like to make you aware of the implications this has on the practice and other patients.
There are extended waiting times across the whole NHS currently. We are trying our upmost to minimise waiting times within the practice. We need your help by letting Reception know if you cannot make your appointment. If your appointment was booked online, you can cancel via Anima or your NHS app.
We are seeing an increase in appointments being missed within the surgery. Last month there were 35 appointments that patients did not attend. We understand sometimes things may change on the day due to emergencies and that this may be out of your control. If it is possible to let us know prior to your appointment time, please do so. We can ALWAYS fill the appointment slots with other patients that are waiting however much notice you give us. Many of our nursing appointments are very complex and take an extended amount of time. Many appointments are 30 or 40 minutes long. If these appointments are missed significant clinical time is wasted. Every appointment is vital.
