Pharmacy Team

Clinical pharmacists – Aitzol, Annita and Jessica

Our Clinical Pharmacists are highly trained medicines experts who work closely with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive safe, effective, and personalised treatment.

They play a key role in managing long‑term conditions, improving medication safety, and supporting patients to get the best outcomes from their medicines.

What our Clinical Pharmacists do:
  • Carry out medication reviews to ensure treatments are appropriate, effective, and safe
  • Support patients with long‑term conditions such as asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease
  • Prescribe medicines independently where qualified
  • Review and manage repeat prescriptions
  • Identify and reduce the risk of medication side effects and interactions
  • Provide expert advice on medicines to patients and clinical staff
  • Support hospital discharge medication changes and continuity of care
  • Promote safe, cost‑effective prescribing and medicines optimisation

Clinical Pharmacists often run their own clinics and are available for telephone consultations, helping patients understand their medicines and feel confident in managing their health.

They are an integral part of our healthcare team, enhancing patient safety, improving access to care, and supporting better health outcomes.

Dispensary Team

  • Our GP Dispensing Team is responsible for safely and efficiently providing medicines to eligible patients who live more than one mile from a community pharmacy.
  • Working closely with our GPs, nurses and pharmacists, the team prepares and supplies prescribed medicines, offers advice on how to take them, and answers queries about prescriptions. They also manage repeat prescriptions, check medication safety, and liaise with hospitals and community pharmacies to ensure continuity of care.
  • The Dispensing Team plays a key role in supporting patients with their medicines, helping to ensure treatments are correct, up to date and easy to understand. Their aim is to provide a reliable, friendly service while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality and patient safety.
  • The dispensary does not accept incoming phone calls but they do have an answerphone where you can leave any medication queries and they will call you back.
