Men’s Health Evening – Thank You!

Thanks to the 100+ men who came to the Men’s Health Evening yesterday. We were bowled over to see many people in attendance to talk about getting the most out of your GP appointment, why “dying matters” and common cancers that affect men.

Thanks to Nick Puffett, Clinical Nurse Manager at Kate’s Nursing, for coming back to see us and share his wisdom. Here is the video Nick shared to start those difficult but important discussions:

It was great to hear your thoughts and to try and answer your excellent questions.

Here are a few links relating to some of the topics we talked about last night:

We’d like to thank Geoff Cove, Graham Ogden and the rest of the Winchcombe Medical Centre Patient Group for arranging the evening and supporting the work of the medical centre.

Huge apologies to those of you who made the effort to come last night but could not actually get in. This is the first event we have run where we have been “over-subscribed” – we were not expecting such a big turn out!

There is obviously a need for events like last night. We are already planning to have another Men’s Health event in Autumn this year – when we will use a bigger venue. We will share the details of the next event as soon as we can.

Thanks again to all involved.
